BEAUMETTES in Luberon, between Gordes, Goult and Ménerbes

Baumettes is a small town located in the Luberon Vaucluse between Gordes, Goult and Menerbes. The village is located at the foot of a limestone cliff along the provincial road 900, former national road 100.

At the top of the village, there is a 'troglodyte' area. There is a say about an old "castle" although it has nothing to do with the idea that we could have of a castle.

To the entrance of the village, on the west side, there is the parish church of the Annunciation, building from the twelfth century.

In Font-de-Loup, you will discover an ancient Roman villa with beautiful mosaics.

Historically, the old village of Beaumettes, now with just ruins left, is further north in the direction of Gordes.

Just as Gordes, Goult, Joucas, Lioux, St. Pantaleon, Murs and Cabrières d'Avignon, the town zip code is 84220.
