The art of living in Provence

November in Provence, the discreet charm of late autumn.

As autumn gently settles over Provence, November unveils a distinctive atmosphere, filled with calm and golden light. The villages take on warm shades of ochre and copper, nature breathes again, and the region invites a slower, more reflective rhythm of life. Far from the summer bustle, Provence reveals a more authentic and contemplative art of living.
It is the perfect time to stroll through the cobbled streets of Gordes, Bonnieux or Ménerbes, to visit local markets and rediscover the treasures of the terroir. Truffle season begins in the woodlands near the Ventoux, the first olive oil flows from the mills, and the vineyards of the Luberon and Côtes du Rhône welcome visitors for post-harvest tastings.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the mild temperatures for cycling along cypress-lined roads, hiking the trails of the Luberon, or climbing the slopes of Mont Ventoux, majestic under the low November light. Culture lovers will find in the region’s museums, exhibitions and winter festivals an intimate Provence, true to its artistic soul.
It is also the season to appreciate the comfort of Provençal homes — the crackle of a fireplace, a meal among friends, a fine local wine. November encourages us to slow down, to reconnect with what truly matters, and to savour this peaceful Provence where time seems to stand still.
At ROSIER, we cherish this time of year when the beauty of the region expresses itself differently: quieter, softer, and endlessly captivating.
